De’jah Dorsey is a dynamic credit union leader, community advocate, and lifelong learner with more than eight years of experience in the financial services industry. She currently serves as Branch Manager for University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) in Galveston, where she leads a high-performing team focused on operational excellence, financial education, and meaningful member relationships.
Since joining UFCU in 2018, De’jah has held a variety of roles spanning frontline service, business development, digital outreach, and financial health education. Her leadership has been instrumental in transforming the Galveston branch into a top-performing location, achieving strong employee engagement, zero team turnover, and expanded community partnerships. She is passionate about developing others, strengthening internal controls, and creating innovative strategies that connect members with the tools and resources they need to achieve financial well-being.
De’jah recently earned her Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Organizational Leadership from East Texas A&M University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is committed to continuous growth and believes education is a powerful example of perseverance and possibility for her family and the communities she serves.
A dedicated advocate for community involvement, De’jah serves as Communications Vice President for the Junior League of Galveston County and actively supports organizations focused on leadership development, financial literacy, and youth empowerment. Through her work, she strives to inspire the next generation, promote economic inclusion, and demonstrate the credit union philosophy of people helping people.
De’jah lives in Galveston with her husband, Darrell, and their three children.
